due to a recent return from an overseas distributor we have come into possession of a small number of rare and out-of-print 12k and LINE titles.

word has gotten out about these and some have sold already before we updated our online shop. in order to put an end to bidding wars, or to avoid putting them on ebay, we are offering all of the titles at $25 each.

here is what’s available:

12k1002 DRUM KOMPUTER “ALPHABET FLASHER” – 2 copies
12K1009 TETSU INOUE + TAYLOR DEUPREE “ACTIVE/FREEZE” – 1 copy
12K1013 TAYLOR DEUPREE “OCCUR” – 2 copies
12K1018 O/R “VARIED” – 3 copies
12K1019 MOTION “DUST” – 3 copies
12K1025 VARIOUS ARTISTS “E.A.D.G.B.E” – 1 copy

LINE012 STEINBRÜCHEL “CIRCA” – 1 copy
LINE019 MARK FELL “TEN TYPES OF ELSEWHERE” – 1 copy

all titles are now available in the only shop and are being sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. because it is possible for multiple copies to be purchased before we have a chance to remove them from the shop there is a chance that even after you purchase something it will no longer be available. if this is the case, we will inform you via email and refund your amount.

also, it should be noted, all cds are original pressings and are unopened and shrinkwrapped from the manufacturer.

if you have any questions, do not hesitate to email.

i HIGHLY recommend every reader to check out WNYC’s Radio Lab. it’s a radio show on NPR and also Podcasted. it has to be one of the most interesting listens i’ve ever experienced.

Radio Lab® is an investigation. Each episode is a patchwork of people, sounds, stories and experiences centered around One Big Idea. On RadioLab, science bumps into culture… information sounds like music.

Radio Lab is designed for listeners who demand skepticism but appreciate wonder, who are curious about the world but who also want to be moved and surprised.

you can get info here:
http://www.wnyc.org/shows/radiolab/

the Podcast is available via iTunes (free, of course), just search for WNYC, or RadioLab, and you should find it.

incredibly fascinating stuff, totally captivating.

just a quick note on some cd stock news:

richard chartier “series” (LINE001) just sold out. no more copies of that left.
ghislain poirier “il n’y a pas de sud…” (12k1016) has only 7 copies left. that’s the end of an era… the last 12k cd still available that was produced in slimline jewelcases before we moved over to digipack.

also, recently i received a return from a distributor that contains very few copies of some out of print material..! like “EADGBE” and mark fell’s “ten types of elsewhere”… still trying to figure out how to sell these. they might go on ebay.

2 new 12k cds in the works. Moskitoo “Drape”… info online soon… and the long-awaited, much-asked-for re-issue of one of 12k’s classics.
